New Dhivehi Observer Reaches 30,000 Visitors

Just over 50 days since launch and New Dhivehi Observer has attracted 30,000, predominantly Maldivian, users to the service.

This is a great milestone in the sites development and we look forward to attracting even great numbers of visitors to the site and continue to improve the service for all the user's.

A big hello to everyone. Many of you have discovered the New Dhivehi Observer and have posted your thoughts on the topic "How can we improve this site?"

We really appreciate you taking the time to do so and want to encourage others to do the same. When we see your comments, the entire team gets motivated to make changes and improvements, so keep them coming!

We are now compiling all your feedback and working on our 'To Do' list. While we are doing our best to meet your suggestions, please keep in mind that we will not be able to make every change you suggest. Also, we would appreciate your patience as the site is still under construction.

P.S We're pretty new and would love tips you have for us.

Dear Visitors,

Tomorrow we will be rolling out a new site which is going to be almost similar to Dhivehi Observer. The new site is tested with different versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and the newly released Goolge Chrome. Also the site will be upto 70 times faster than Dhivehi Observer. So check in again tomorrow to try our new site.

This is just the beginning – New Dhivehi Observer is far from done. We are hard at work building this site, and will continue to make it even faster and more robust.

We launched New Dhivehi Observer on 14th of September when Sappe sold Dhivehi Observer to Buruma Gasim. Two days later we started online boycott campaigns against Dhivehi Observer. Our aim was to drive 50% of Dhivehi Observer’s traffic to this website within 10 days. First week we got an average of 700 new visitors every day and now we are getting an average of 400 new visitors and over 10,000 page hits everyday.

Thank you for visiting New Dhivehi Observer

Dear Visitors,

We are writing to inform you that we have recently discovered evidence of a network attack which is why updates were late and irregular.
We have since closed the vulnerability through which attack was given, and have taken steps to ensure that this cannot happen again.
We launched New Dhivehi Observer on 14th of this month when Sappe sold Dhivehi Observer to Gasim Ibram(Buruma Gasim).
